First of
all I want to say you thank you to provide me a very good boat for this season.
The first
test carried out this past weekend in Murcia was very good.
The Friday
I sailed with 15/20 knots and the feeling of the boat was very good. The boat
is very easy to sail in this conditions. It was a first day of testing and my
only objective was to check that all was well. I was very surprised for the
good feeling in the rudders.
Saturday,
we did 4 races with winds from 4 to 10 knots. I did 1-2-1-2. First race in 5/7
knots I won easy. The feeling was that in up wind the centerboard push up the
hull and that this can help me to be fasted. I do not think that with this
centerboards the boat goes slow than with the old ones. In flat downwind the
feeling is the same, I do not think that the DNA 2013 goes slowly that with the
old ones.
The two 2
were because in second race in passed the first mark first but NED 3 passed me
in the mark doing wild thing and me flat downwind and he took me 50m. In last
downwind, I did trapeze and I just arrived after him. In last race I did a bad
start and passed the first mark 6. I finished 2 because José A. López did well
and passed the first mark 1 and it was impossible to me to arrive to him.
Sunday, we
did 2 races in 12/15 knots. I won easily in booth races. In up wind
performances was OK, but in downwind my performance was incredible. Fast and
down easily. I can say you that I fly for some moments and that the control is
not difficult in this conditions.
